Wearing Instructions

New Back Carry Instructions!
Check these out!

This is how it would be attached around a sleeping baby\'s head.
Wondering how to use the headrest? Here is an explanation.

Tightened all the way.
Tightened all the way. This picture shows what a Calyx shoulder strap looks like when it is as tight as it can be. You see we have folded back the tongue and pulled in the webbing as much as possible. It is a good idea to tighten it before you put it on, and put it on backpack style (this is easily done by putting your foot up on something to make half a lap, and laying the carrier on your thigh, sitting the baby astride your leg to do up the harness, and go from there to your back. Or, baby can sit or stand on a chair or sofa and you can sit in front to put the carrier on.)

Those pesky sternum straps! They’re hard to undo, which is a good thing if you think about it. You wouldn’t want them snapping open all the time when you’re wearing the carrier. Problem is, they’ll break before they’ll open if you don’t know the trick. It’s simple, actually. You have to squeeze them in the middle at the same time as you pull up on the thumb tab.

Like this: See how there are 3 bars. One goes through the part of the webbing that is attached to the clip, and is fixed to the center bar (#2). You can’t open that side. The third bar has the thumb tab on one end and is fixed to the center bar on the other end. If you very firmly grab the clip so that your thumb presses on the third bar, it will bend in the middle toward the center bar. This allows your other thumb to easily flick the tab open. If you are squeezing hard enough, you will not have to force the tab to open.

Do not force the tab! If it isn’t easy to open, squeeze the bar harder. If you do break it, I will send you a new assembly.
