Contemplating the Future of MBD

Monday, May 28th, 2007

I’ve come to a point in this business adventure where I feel like I need to make some solid plans for the future. How is MBD going to grow, what kind of business would I like to have? These are the questions I’m struggling with lately, because I want to make mindful choices. MBD has certain needs, and by the way I choose to meet those needs I like to think that I am creating a future that I can happily pass on to my children. It has always been my intention to do what I can to create a business that is a benefit to my community and to the planet. My fantasy business would employ people in my community for fair wages, would use sustainable, environmentally friendly materials, and as much as possible strive to be humane and green in all operations.

Going to Chicago

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

Hi all,
I’m taking the kiddos to Chicago for two weeks to visit my family. I’ll be able to answer emails while I’m there, but I wanted to let you all know that there are a number of MBD carriers at Mama Rose’s Naturals in Eugene, OR all ready to go. You can email the owner, Rosetta mamarose@mamarosesnaturals.com she is happy to ship.

Now, two things about this. First, time was such a crunch that I wasn’t able to photograph. The carriers she has are the new style, shown on my blog, in the olive fabrics. Most are simple panels, she has at least one art panel as well. If you want to see the fabrics, go look down the right sidebar, see the category “mamabydesign.com” ? Under that is a link to “current line.” That will show you the fabrics. (Ignore the post, it’s really old. Pre-orders happened a long time ago, sorry.) The art panel is very much like the two cattail/ one dragonfly design on the dragonfly fabric. Not exactly, I had to re-size it for the new carriers. Information about the re-design is on the main blog page, the third post down. It’s changed slightly since I posted that, but the shape is basically the same.

If you have questions about using the carrier, please email me. I’ll be able to check at least once a day.

Thanks a lot!
Rebecca
