A Sneak Preview of our New Summer Line!

preview2_summer06.jpg

I have chosen the bright primary colors, summer flowers, and cute butterflies from Jane Sassaman’s “Paradise Garden” fabric collection for our first summer line. I am pairing this with a rich red brushed canvas for a bold summer look.

The applique baby carrier panel designs feature bumblebees and flowers to coordinate with a choice of fabrics on the reverse side. Patchwork panels are designed with help from Ricky Timms’ Convergence quilting technique, also reversing to coordinating fabrics. I will also offer simple framed fabric panels, fussy-cut to make the most of the pretty print. These will reverse to the red canvas.

There will also be diaper bags with various choices of fabric and embellishment, our unique snap-in wet bags, strong tote bags good for library books, picnics, and groceries, and lots more fun stuff. There will even be clothing separates for babies and toddlers, including sun hats, dresses, and t-shirts all in fabrics and colors to match your MBD carriers and bags.

A Horseshoe Nail

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

With all of obstacles MBD has been facing lately, I’m reminded of the old rhyme:

“For want of a nail, the shoe was lost.
For want of a shoe, the horse was lost.
For want of a horse, the rider was lost.
For want of a rider, the battle was lost.
For want of a battle, the kingdom was lost,
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.”

Although in this case it is not a horseshoe nail, but a set of labels that has been holding up our progress. Finally, over six weeks late, most of them have arrived and the rest are expected within the week. Yay! Now we can really get down to business.
